Who is supply monitoring for?

Supply monitoring is for anyone who would like to track how much water they are drawing from their main supply source. If you have a consent or permit for taking more than five litres of water a second, then your council may require you to put monitoring in place within the next few years, if not already.

You can read about the Resource Management (Measurement and Reporting of Water Takes) Amendment Regulations 2020 in our blog articles below, or on the Ministry for the Environment's website. If you are unsure about your situation, we suggest you contact your regional council.

If you are from a regional council and would like to know more about how Levno could help you monitor consents in your region, refer to our water partner page or contact us on 0800 453 866 or sales@levno.com

Sensor

A Levno sensor is installed to read your supply meter, this sensor can be attached to an existing meter on site or you can purchase a meter. The sensor constantly records the flow rate and sends this data back to the transceiver.

Set up alerts to be notified when a low or high flow rate occur and when a certain volume of water is  supplied over a period of time.

Transceiver

The transceiver receives data back from the sensor and transmits it to the cloud for display in your Levno dashboard. From your dashboard you can view your live data and set alerts.

The transceiver will be installed using mains power. When mains power is not available there is a solar power option.

Dashboard

Your dashboard displays data received from the transceiver, providing you with real time information about your flow rate and the total volume of water being drawn from your supply in a given period of time. A range of reports are available to see activity and changes over time. You can also set and manage alerts for yourself and others from your dashboard.

Your dashboard is available via the Levno App and on Desktop.
